  • Position: Transactional Legal Secretary

  • Practice Area & PL/Def: Corporate and Litigation Firm

  • Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

    • Transactional Legal Secretary Responsibilities:

      • Prepare, revise, and finalize legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
      • Maintain corporate records and assist in transaction closings.
    • Word Processing:

      • Draft and format legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
      • Manage document revisions and proofreading tasks.
    • Timekeeping and Billing:

      • Enter and manage time entries for attorneys.
      • Assist in billing processes and client invoicing.
    • Client Service:

      • Communicate professionally with clients and external parties.
      • Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and client communications.
    • File and Document Management:

      • Organize and maintain legal files and documents.
      • Ensure accuracy and completeness of electronic and physical records.
    • Transactional Legal Secretary Responsibilities:

      • Manage calendars and deadlines for attorneys.
      • Handle phone calls, mail, and other administrative tasks.
  • Essential Capabilities:

    • Prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
    • Possess strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software.
  • Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of 5 years of legal administrative support experience.
    • Certificate or degree in a related field preferred.
  • Normal Work Hours:
    This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime compensation. Regular office hours are Monday through Friday.

  • Compensation and Benefits:
    Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience. ($70K-$100K) Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
