Job Description

Adams & Martin Group is seeking a skilled Paralegal with specialized experience in toxic tort litigation to join the dynamic team of one of our prestigious law firm clients. As a Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in supporting attorneys in all aspects of toxic tort cases, from investigation to trial preparation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct extensive research on related case law.
  2. Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests, and deposition summaries.
  3. Manage document production, organization, and review using e-discovery platforms.
  4. Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and other parties involved in toxic tort litigation.
  5. Prepare trial exhibits, trial binders, and other materials for courtroom presentations.
  6. Assist in deposition preparation and attend depositions as needed.
  7. Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and case management databases.
  8. Collaborate with attorneys to develop case strategies and trial tactics.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  10. Stay updated on developments in toxic tort law and industry trends.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience with a focus on toxic tort litigation.
  3. Proficiency in legal research tools and electronic discovery platforms.
  4. Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  7. Familiarity with relevant federal and state environmental regulations and statutes.
  8. Experience in managing large volumes of documents and data.
  9. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Ethical conduct and adherence to confidentiality requirements.
