Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a growing yet established law firm who is expanding their litigation team. The firm is seeking a a Litigation Paralegal who will be responsible for providing support for several attorneys. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, be task-oriented and have follow through. This is a hybrid remote opportunity and knowledge of various platforms and ease of use with technical modalities is very important. This firm requires all candidates to be tech savvy and comfortable with modern technology, including AI.

In this role you will support attorneys with fact finding, litigation and trial preparation, court filings, running calendars, assisting with reviewing and summarizing cases, discovery and deposition transcripts, and legal research.


KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Review cases and medical claims assigned timely and completely.
* In partnership with attorney, identify key documents, issues and develop strategy to answer question "What has to happen next in order to resolve this matter?"
* In partnership with attorney, devise case plans, timelines and discovery plans necessary to move medical claims and cases forward effectively.
* Manage caseload and day to day file needs required to effectively represent client interests.
* Manage the opening request for matters.
* Document productions, redactions at direction of attorney and assembling electronic discovery.
* Prepare requests for authority to file litigation/arbitration, as required by client protocols.
* Identify and communicate directly with physicians and other witnesses or information sources as needed.
* In partnership with attorney, resolve cases and claims for >80% assigned value within 365 days from referral (on average).
* Manage cost to collect on medical claims.
* Keep team lead updated on medical claims and cases as appropriate. Identify matters likely to proceed to trial or hearing early and ensure case plans are documented and communicated frequently.
* Utilize E-Discovery applications for purposes of document management and production including redacting and bates stamping.
* Send E-Discovery to Opposing Council.
* Bill timely, accurately, professionally, and completely for work done.
