Litigation Paralegal/Assistant

Job Description

Qualified candidates must possess the following:
* Bachelor's degree
* A minimum of 3 years of paralegal litigation experience
* Paralegal certificate or equivalent
* Thorough working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure
* Strong understanding of legal calendaring
* Attention to detail
* Strong proofreading skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Confident use of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, etc.
* Comfort working with an Apple Mac (not PC)
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Good judgment and self-starter, with a strong work ethic
* Regular office hours with occasional overtime as needed

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Calendaring and monitoring service deadlines
* Filing in state and federal courts
* Preparing and responding to discovery
* Preparation of judicial counsel forms
* Organizing trial binders
* Answering phone calls/tracking voicemails
* Tracking office expenses in Excel
* Additional administrative tasks
