Job Description: A well-established law firm specializing in personal injury cases, with a strong focus on automobile/motor accidents, slip and falls, and pedestrian accidents seeks a Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team on a part-time, temporary-to-hire basis in El Monte, CA. As a Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in assisting attorneys in providing outstanding legal representation to clients who have suffered personal injuries.

THIS POSITION IS ON A PART-TIME, TEMPORARY-TO-HIRE BASIS.

Personal Injury Paralegal Duties:

• Assist attorneys in managing a caseload of personal injury cases, including automobile/motor accidents, slip and falls, and pedestrian accidents.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering their questions.
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, RFPs/RFAs, and settlement agreements.
• Assist in the discovery process, including document review, organization, and responding to/propounding discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies and legal arguments.
• Maintain and update case calendars, internal and court deadlines, and court appearances.
• Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, trial notebooks, witness lists, and jury instructions.

Personal Injury Paralegal Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience as a personal injury paralegal required.
• Proficiency in legal software and case management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Details:

• Hourly Rate: $25-40/hr, depending on experience
• Salary Upon Hire: $49-85k, depending on experience
• Schedule: Tues, Thurs, and Fri from 9-5 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Parking: Provided by the firm
• Location: Fully onsite in El Monte during 90-day period, potential hybrid schedule with 1 day remote based on performance
