Position: Probate Litigation Paralegal

Job Description: Prominent firm in Hermosa Beach seeks an experience Probate Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Probate Litigation Paralegal possesses 3-5 years of experience and has strong knowledge in case preparation, legal research, client communication, court filings, and strong attention to detail.

Probate Litigation Paralegal Job Duties:

* Handle all aspects of probate litigation cases from inception to resolution.

* Organize and maintain case files such as legal documents, correspondence, and evidence.

* Work professionally with clients to gather information and provide case updates.

* Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents such as: petitions for probate, heggstad petitions, letters testamentary/letters of administration, inventory of assets, asset valuation, notice to creditors, claim forms, waivers/consent forms, beneficiary notifications, distribution plan, and closing filings.

* Prepare memoranda, summaries, and case evaluations.

* Propound and respond to discovery, including drafting RFAs, RFPs, gathering documents, and drafting responses.

* Assist in preparing clients for depositions, hearings, and trials.

* File legal documents with probate courts and monitor deadlines and case schedules.

* Coordinate with court personnel, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation matters.

Probate Litigation Paralegal Job Requirements:

- 3-5 years of litigation experience required, probate litigation experience strongly preferred

- Paralegal certificate strongly preferred, but not required

Benefits and Details:

- Salary: $60-90k, depending on experience

- Location: Fully onsite in Hermosa Beach, CA, with a potential option for hybrid after probationary period is satisfied
