We are seeking a skilled and proactive Commercial Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. As a Commercial Litigation Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in all aspects of commercial litigation matters. Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing all phases of commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution. Organize and maintain case files, including pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and court documents. Coordinate and manage document production, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.

  • Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research using various resources to support attorneys in case preparation. Analyze and summarize legal documents, deposition transcripts, and other case-related materials. Prepare and maintain case-related databases and spreadsheets.

  • Drafting and Filing: Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and correspondence. Assist in the preparation of deposition summaries, trial binders, and other case-related materials. File documents electronically with federal and state courts, and assist in service of process.

  • Trial Support: Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial notebooks. Attend trial proceedings to provide support, including managing exhibits and assisting with witness preparation. Coordinate with court personnel and opposing counsel regarding trial logistics.

  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding case-related matters. Assist in the coordination of client meetings, depositions, and other case-related events. Maintain positive client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.

  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks such as calendar management, scheduling, and expense tracking. Assist in billing and timekeeping activities, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing. Provide general administrative support to attorneys and other team members as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in commercial litigation.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed, particularly during trial preparation and trial proceedings.
