Well-established law firm south of Denver has an immediate opening for a Legal Assistant / Receptionist. This position is responsible for managing the reception desk and performing legal assistant job duties. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably at a law firm. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
  • Greet all visitors and clients.
  • Maintaining office supplies and ordering new supplies as needed.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail as well as process outgoing mail.
  • Ensure that the reception area is neat and organized.
  • Maintaining and organizing electronic files. 
  • Copying and scanning documents.
  • Assist with preparing corporate formation and renewal documents for attorney review. 
  • Electronically filing renewals and corporate formation documents with the appropriate government office.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence under attorney supervision. 
  • Perform other legal assistant job duties as directed by attorneys or paralegals.
  • Provide overflow clerical/typing and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior experience working as a receptionist or in a similar role. 
  • Law firm experience is preferred. 
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook and Word.
  • Strong verbal & written communication and customer service skills.
  • Organized, able to multi-task, and interested in learning new skills. 
  • College degree or paralegal certificate is a plus, but not required.
