Boutique real estate and business law firm seeks a litigation Associate Attorney to join our team. Firm represents clients throughout California in real estate and business transaction and litigation matters. This is an opportunity for a 3-5+year attorney to join a thriving practice working directly with clients, staff and senior attorneys


Job Description


We are looking for detail oriented and problem-solving associate who is willing to learn, and has good communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be personable, detail oriented, and a team player capable of handling tasks and assignments with minimal supervision, but knowledgeable of when and willing to seek supervision and assistance. Candidates must be able to multi-task, operate against inflexible deadlines, and communicate regularly with partners, other associates and clients on a range of legal topics. Outstanding performance, effective communication skills and superb results are required.


Primary initial responsibilities will be in enforcement of residential landlord tenant matters including drafting of enforcement and termination notices; preparing, filing and trying unlawful detainer actions; settling disputes with tenants and opposing counsel.


Position Requirements and Expectations:


· JD from an ABA approved school


· Licensed and in good standing with California State Bar


· Must have at least 3 years of experience in litigation, with preference in handling unlawful detainer actions


· Reasonable monthly billable hourly requirements with emphasis on quality


· Managing a full legal case load


· Task management and timely completion of tasks


· Ability to travel to and from the various locations where job tasks will take place including courts


· Ability to work at a pace necessary to manage and maintain workload/caseload and to provide excellent service to client
