Job Description: Central Los Angeles Law Firm seeks a litigation paralegal with 5 years of personal injury and products experience to join their team. The litigation paralegal will work closely with their attorneys from the beginning of a case through the end, including trial. Candidates must have extensive experience with document review, trial preparation, handling discovery, drafting legal documents, and managing case paperwork. The ideal candidate possesses excellent research skills, is able to multi-task on several assignments, meets deadlines, and is proficient in Microsoft Office.
This is for a DIRECT HIRE, FULLY ONSITE position.
Job Requirements:
- Prepare discovery, discovery responses, and meet and confer correspondence
- Create reports and documents for lawyers based on case specifications and requests
- Assist with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings
- Develop and follow a case file indexing system that can be used as an active archive for all ongoing and completed cases
- Assist with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings
- Summarize deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
- Calendar all dates and deadlines
- Order, review, and summarize medical records
- Retain experts and prepare expert files for review
Job Qualifications:- Minimum 5 years of litigation experience in personal injury is required
- Strong discovery experience with responding and propounding is strongly preferred
- Extensive experience with trial document preparation is strongly preferred
- Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions
- Working knowledge and competency with case management software
- Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
Additional Information:- Salary: $75,000-$100,000 depending on experience
- Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K
- Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00 PM
- Parking: Provided by the firm
- Location: Fully onsite
