Job Description
Well-established Clayton law firm is seeking a Personal Injury Paralegal to add to their growing team to effectively manage a large caseload of catastrophic injury cases while providing excellent client service. Salary is highly competitive and based on previous experience. Must have strong technical skills, great attention to detail and not be afraid to ask questions. This position will support one of the firm's senior attorneys.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of pre-litigation case process and ability to work independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid subrogation, private insurance subrogation, and ability to understand compliance with subrogation regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Ability to identify problems and concerns independently to resolve and/or communicate them to appropriate individuals to find resolution.
- Ability to work together as a team with attorneys and/or support staff (sometimes under pressure) and have a positive attitude and approach to all situations and requests.
- Must be approachable and willing to assist in a professional manner.
- Ability to analyze, review and organize medical records and investigative material.
- Ability to work a case from A-Z, from initial intake through settlement.
- Familiarity with all types of insurance policies, coverage limits, provisions, and exclusions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel is required

Responsibilities for this position include:- Main point of contact for clients, adjusters, medical providers and subrogation analysts.
- Ordering and reviewing police reports, supplemental reports, medical records, employment records, social security records, insurance policies, etc.
- Investigation of facts to obtain information necessary to determine causation, damages, and extent of injuries.
- Organization of electronic case file per firm specifications.
- Preparation of settlement distributions and allocations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:- Minimum of 4 years of personal injury experience required - no exceptions.
- Associates Degree or Paralegal Certificate required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
