Adams & Martin Group is currently working with a large downtown St. Louis law firm on an opening for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This position will have responsibility for applying payments to client accounts as well as providing back up on other accounting department duties. This individual will communicate internally within the firm and externally with clients.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Post client payments to accounts
  • Investigate and timely resolve client payment discrepancies
  • Work with clients to set up payment plans when directed
  • Ask relevant questions related to client payment and billing activity 
  • Assist in reconciling bank account discrepancies
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or Business Administration (Accounting emphasis) is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience required as well as law firm experience is required as well 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
  • Mathematical and analytical skills required to identify and resolve billing issues.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with members, associates, staff, clients, and business associates.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and responsibilities and complete them within time constraints.
  • Ability to use accounting information systems, Excel, Word, and other supporting software and related equipment.
