Experienced Civil Rights Litigation Attorney, with 8 years of experience
Unique opportunity to work with a civil rights advocacy group with a 30-year track record of promoting human rights based in Washington, D.C.
JOB QUALFICATIONS:
(1) J.D. degree from accredited law school and member in good standing with a state bar association;
(2) Eight years of federal litigation experience in federal courts with experience in immigration, voting rights, and/or education opportunities, strongly preferred; and
(3) Demonstrated experience in investigation and developmennt of impact litigation advancing civil rights
(4) Duties include taking and defending depositions, drafting discovery requests, expert reports, and first-chair trial experience.
You should be able to work as an ADVOCATE in a colloborative, team-oriented environment and show leadership skills in advancing the goals of the organization with minimal supervision. This position requires the candidate to be in the D.C. office on at least a hybrid basis and involves only limited travel outside D.C.
