Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Case Management: Assist attorneys at every stage of medical malpractice litigation-from initial intake to trial and settlement. Your organizational skills will shine as you manage case files, prepare documents, and organize discovery materials, ensuring everything is in order for successful litigation outcomes.
Legal Document Preparation: Take the lead in drafting, proofreading, and filing vital litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and affidavits. Your meticulous attention to detail will support the attorneys in preparing compelling case summaries and trial materials.
Scheduling & Calendar Management: Keep the litigation process on track by maintaining attorney calendars, coordinating depositions, court appearances, and consultations with medical experts. Your scheduling prowess will help ensure timely progress in all litigation matters.
Client and Court Communications: Serve as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, court staff, and opposing counsel. Your professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information will foster effective communication throughout the litigation process.
Billing and Timekeeping: Assist with tracking billable hours and preparing detailed billing statements. Your accuracy will be crucial in managing client invoicing and following up on outstanding payments.
Trial Preparation: Play an integral role in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, preparing binders, and managing witness coordination. Provide real-time support during trials, ensuring attorneys have everything they need at their fingertips.
