Job Description

A law firm in Atlanta, Ga is seeking a dedicated Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing clients in workers' compensation claims, including filing claims, negotiating settlements, and advocating for clients' rights in hearings and court proceedings.

  • Represent clients in all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including initial consultations, case evaluations, and litigation.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents, such as claims, appeals, and settlement agreements.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies to ensure clients receive fair compensation for medical expenses, lost wages, and other benefits.
  • Advocate for clients in hearings, depositions, and court proceedings, presenting evidence and arguments to support their claims.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes to workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with medical experts, vocational specialists, and other professionals to build strong cases for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must have an active license to practice law in the state of Georgia.
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience in workers' compensation law, including litigation and case management.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Compassionate and client-focused, with a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for clients.
