The Trust and Estate Paralegal supports attorneys in managing estate planning and probate matters, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
Draft and file probate documents, such as petitions and accountings, with the court.
Conduct legal research on trust and estate laws and regulations.
Organize and maintain client files, including correspondence, documents, and deadlines.
Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions regarding estate matters.
Gather necessary documentation for probate filings, including death certificates and asset information.
Prepare reports and summaries for attorneys and clients regarding estate plans and probate processes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws affecting trusts and estates.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or certificate in paralegal studies; bachelor's degree preferred.
Previous experience as a paralegal, specifically in trust and estate law, is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures related to trusts and estates.
Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
