Are you an experienced attorney with a passion for energy litigation? A outstanding law firm is seeking a mid-level associate with 3-5 years of experience to join their Energy Team in Denver. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex litigation and regulatory matters within a well-established multidisciplinary practice.
Responsibilities:
Focus on commercial litigation, regulatory matters, and providing day-to-day legal guidance.
Work on energy industry-related cases:
Oil and gas development on federal landsFederal and private oil and gas royaltiesMidstream disputesHazardous materials transportation and complianceHandle matters involving environmental law, real estate, and general business litigation.
Qualifications:
Admission to practice law in Colorado.
3-5 years of litigation and/or regulatory experience in a top-tier law firm.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Impressive academic credentials.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Strong research capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Federal or State Supreme Court Clerkship experience.
Familiarity with public lands issues and federal/state environmental review processes.
Experience in the energy sector.
Strong leadership and business development skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage complex legal matters.
Billable requirements: 1950+ hours annually.
Compensation & Benefits
Expected annual salary: $220,000 - $234,000 (depending on experience and qualifications).
Performance and hours-based bonus program.
