Job Description

The ARG Assistant supports the attorneys in delivering the highest level of service to our clients. As a contributing team member, the ARG specialist is pro-active in balancing multiple assignments. They take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of their work product while contributing to the team and maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Creates, edits, formats, and proofreads documents, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Prepares legal documents for court filing and electronic filing
  • Promptly responds to attorney requests via written, verbal, or electronic communication
  • Effectively and efficiently manages work and information requests, including document management, scheduling, and coordination of Firm resources
  • Helps attorneys and team members apply new technology to improve efficiency and quality of work product
  • Hands off work with detailed instructions to team members so that the work product is not compromised
  • Smoothly handles multiple demands and shifting priorities across all Firm offices
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of general office or Law firm experience preferred
  • Experience in a legal environment or professional services preferred
  • Adequate knowledge of general office equipment and software operating systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to develop positive working relationships (in-person and virtually)
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills
  • Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication
  • Ability to use a computer monitor, read, create, proofread and transcribe documents
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure deadline driven environment
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, with a willingness to accept ownership of projects and be successful in driving project and daily tasks, to a successful conclusion

TOP THREE THINGS:

  1. 1 year minimum of law firm experience (high volume preferred)
  2. Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required
  3. Bachelors degree preferred but not required.
