Defense litigation law firm in West Los Angeles is seeking an experienced calendaring clerk carrying 2 + years of experience.

A Calendaring Clerk at a law firm is responsible for managing the firm's calendar, ensuring that important dates related to legal cases, meetings, deadlines, and appointments are properly scheduled and tracked. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of legal proceedings and avoiding missed deadlines, which can have serious consequences for a case. The Calendaring Clerk works closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff to ensure all key dates are met.

Responsibilities for Calendaring Clerk:

  • Maintain and update case calendars to reflect court dates, filing deadlines, hearings, and other critical events.
  • Track deadlines for filings such as motions, briefs, discovery responses, and appeals.
  • Schedule court appearances, depositions, meetings, and consultations for attorneys and clients.
  • Coordinate with opposing counsel, experts, and clients to set dates for depositions and hearings.
  • Set up reminders for upcoming deadlines and important events to ensure no dates are overlooked.
  • Alert attorneys and staff about approaching deadlines, ensuring everyone is prepared.
  • Ensure that all necessary documents are filed on time, including motions, pleadings, and discovery materials.
  • Help attorneys stay on top of due dates for filings and responses.

On-site position M-F.

Parking is covered.

$60,000-$65,000 DOE.
