A leading law firm specializing in large-scale litigation, is seeking three dynamic and motivated Litigation Associates to join our Encino office. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated team litigating complex and high-profile cases on behalf of public entity clients, including states and cities/counties. Our current focus includes opioid and insulin pricing litigation, where you will be involved in all aspects of the litigation process.

As a Litigation Associate, you will work closely with our skilled team. You will be expected to contribute to the litigation of large-scale cases, engaging in research and writing projects, drafting legal briefs, and playing an integral role in various stages of the litigation process. Your responsibilities will also include drafting meet and confer letters, participating in meet and confer discussions with opposing counsel, preparing internal memoranda, and interacting with clients to gather critical facts. As part of your development, you will have the opportunity to take depositions and contribute significantly to the litigation strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Litigating high-impact cases in the opioid and insulin pricing arenas on behalf of public entities.
• Conducting legal research and drafting research memoranda to support litigation efforts.
• Drafting meet and confer letters and participating in meet and confer discussions with opposing counsel.
• Drafting and filing legal briefs in federal and state courts.
• Engaging with clients to obtain critical factual information to aid in litigation.
• Preparing factual summaries and legal documents essential for case strategy.
• Taking depositions and assisting in case preparation for trial.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California and in good standing.
• A strong background in plaintiff work, with preference for class action litigation experience (3+ years).
• A minimum of 2-10 years of civil litigation experience, including complex litigation or class actions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple facets of a litigation case, from discovery to trial preparation.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in large-scale litigation.
