Overview

A well-established law firm is seeking a highly organized and proactive Corporate / Executive Legal Assistant to support senior attorneys and executive leadership. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and brings strong attention to detail, discretion, and a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.

This position follows a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with in-office collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive administrative and legal support to attorneys across corporate, healthcare, and M&A practice areas
  • Draft, revise, and proofread a variety of legal documents, including corporate agreements, correspondence, and transactional materials
  • Oversee document workflows, including filing, organization within document management systems (e.g., iManage), routing for signatures, and distribution of finalized materials
  • Prepare and circulate signature packets, coordinating execution through electronic signature platforms such as DocuSign, Adobe Sign, SimplyAgree, and email
  • Assemble fully executed transaction documents in PDF format, ensuring accurate inclusion of signature pages, exhibits, and schedules
  • Coordinate closing logistics and provide project support for corporate and M&A transactions
  • Maintain and update transaction records and legal files in both digital and physical formats, ensuring proper organization and accessibility
  • Manage the distribution and tracking of executed documents to confirm timely delivery and completion
  • Review and process billing materials, including invoices, correspondence, and expense reimbursements
  • Initiate new client matters, including preparing intake documentation and coordinating conflict checks
  • Draft engagement letters and assist with onboarding documentation for new clients
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements, and prepare meeting materials and agendas
  • Handle incoming communications, screen calls, and relay messages on behalf of supported attorneys
  • Contribute to special projects and provide support during high-volume periods
  • Offer backup assistance to the broader legal support team as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably within corporate, healthcare, or M&A practice areas
  • Prior experience supporting senior attorneys, executives, or partners in a law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and transactional processes
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems (e.g., iManage)
  • Experience with electronic signature platforms (DocuSign, Adobe Sign, etc.) strongly preferred

Compensation

  • Salary range: $80,000 - $95,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications
