Job Description

Our client, an award winning IP firm with offices across the nation, is looking for an IP Transfer Specialist to join their DC team.  This IP Transfer Specialist will be responsible for the reviewing and triaging of incoming IP files.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Auditing file histories and docketing details and adding deadline information into Inprotech
  • Creating profile details of each new case
  • Inventory physical files and electronic data into the transfer database
  • Creating matter titles and bibliographic details into Elite and LegalKey
  • Communicate with both attorneys and clients on formality statuses

Job Requirements

* At least 2 years of U.S. and foreign patent/trademark experience.
* Formalities and IP docketing experience and working knowledge of LegalKey and Elite are required
* Ability to evaluate and build IP family relationships and history
* Bachelor's degree preferred
