Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a mid-sized transactional law firm seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their team. The chosen candidate will work closely with attorneys specializing in representing closely-held businesses and providing transactional business, real estate, and tax services.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist attorneys with administrative tasks and document-intensive projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle a heavy workload in areas such as business planning, corporate governance, succession planning, mergers & acquisitions, and real estate.
  • Conduct legal writing and research.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Prepare engagement agreements, conflict of interest waivers, and first drafts of form documents for attorney review.
  • File real estate documents and liaise with title companies.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy files.

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and computer/word processing skills, including redlining.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, team player, highly dependable.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, oral, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Paralegal certificate or attorney attestation required.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working under attorney supervision preferred.
  • Legal experience required in various business transactions, entity formation (corporations, LLCs, partnerships), real estate transfers, buy-sell agreements, business contracts, and corporate/partnership dissolutions.
  • Estate planning experience is advantageous.
